VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- More than a dozen people face welfare fraud charges in Virginia Beach.
Macie Pridgen with the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office tells WAVY-TV (http://bit.ly/1aozW6K ) that a Virginia Beach grand jury indicted 14 people on Monday.
The amount of funds fraudulently obtained totals more than $116,800.
The charges include making a false application for welfare assistance and obtaining food stamps under false pretense.
