WASHINGTON (AP) -- Police in Washington say they've made an arrest in a fatal shooting in northeast Washington from earlier this month.
The Metropolitan Police Department says police arrested 24-year-old Allen Culver of southeast Washington on Friday after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Culver has been charged with second degree murder while armed in the shooting death of 31-year-old Robert Plight on June 1.
Police say they arrived at the 4400 block of Benning Road NE around 8 p.m. that night after a reported shooting. The address is near the Benning Road station on Metro's blue line.
Plight was taken to the hospital but later died.
Court records to not indicate if Culver has an attorney. A telephone listing for him tried Saturday was disconnected.
