Pepco warns of sporadic outages in downtown D.C. through Friday night

WASHINGTON – Many people in downtown D.C. will have to deal with periodic outages as Pepco continues repairs to the underground facilities that lead to wide-spread outages Thursday afternoon.

Pepco currently has more than 1,400 customers out in the District.

A cooling center has been setup at the Kennedy Recreation Center at 7th and P streets.

Some other local power companies are also reporting scattered outages.
