LOUISA, Va. (AP) -- Police say a teenager has drowned while swimming in a private lake in Louisa County.
It's the second drowning in the county in two days.
Maj. Donald A. Lowe with the Louisa County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 17-year-old Brandon Coleman.
Lowe tells media outlets that Coleman was swimming in Lake Louisa at a gated community Tuesday afternoon when he began calling for help.
Lowe says other people in the area thought Coleman was joking because he was laughing. But they realized something was wrong after he went under water and called 911.
The teen's body was recovered about 30 minutes later.
On Monday, a 6-year-old Richmond girl drowned after she slipped on rocks and fell into Lake Anna.
