WASHINGTON – Montgomery County police are searching for a missing youth from Silver Spring, and they are asking for the public’s help.

Juwan Keeshawn Smith, 16, was last seen on April 30 wearing a red hat, blue jeans, white tennis shoes and a red, white and blue polo shirt. He is African-American, with brown eyes and black hair.

Smith, who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and 180 pounds, often visits the downtown Silver Spring and Briggs Chaney areas. He has not been in contact with his family, according to police, and no foul play is suspected at this time.

Police are asking anyone with information about Smith’s location to call the Family Crimes Division of the Montgomery County Police Department at 240-773-5400 or the non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (a 24-hour phone line). Police say callers can remain anonymous.
