WASHINGTON - The goal posts are now in the ground at the new training camp site for the Washington Redskins, the latest sign of significant progress on the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center.

Hourigan Construction, which is leading construction on the site, says work is on schedule to be completed by the end of June. The Redskins are scheduled to begin training camp there in July.

The outdoor facilities include two full-size football fields, a smaller practice field and a three-tiered amphitheater, where fans will be able to stand for a good view.

The Redskins Training Camp FAQs can answer questions about what to bring and what to leave at home. There are no bleachers, but fans are allowed to bring folding chairs or blankets. Fans cannot bring in alcohol, weapons, glass bottles, video cameras or animals.

A large field house that is now close to being completed is home to locker rooms, offices and medical facilities.

The Redskins have tentatively scheduled public practices for July 25 to Aug. 3, Aug. 5 to 6, Aug. 10, and Aug. 12 to 16, with a fan appreciation day scheduled for Aug. 3.

Fans can still go to training camp for free as in past years, but parking at city lots in the area costs $5 to $7.
