CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- Federal prosecutors say an Oklahoma traffic stop that found 140 pounds of marijuana in a recreational vehicle helped lead police to other suspects in a trafficking ring in Virginia.

The Daily Progress reports 42-year-old Shad William Dixon pleaded guilty Tuesday in Charlottesville federal court to a marijuana possession charge.

Dixon faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine when he's sentenced Sept. 17.

Court records show Dixon had made four such trips since September 2011. He was stopped last October for speeding in Oklahoma during a trip from California to Charlottesville. Dixon helped federal investigators find two other men in Virginia.

David Frank Patterson and Christopher Bishop entered into plea agreements on marijuana-related charges. Both will be sentenced later this year.
