WASHINGTON (AP) -- A D.C. man who pleaded guilty to two sexual assaults, including an attack on a 14-year-old girl, has been sentenced to 23 years in prison.
Thirty-nine-year-old Antony Lamont Burns entered the pleas and was sentenced last week in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
According to government evidence, a man grabbed a 14-year-old girl walking in Northwest on 2003, put a knife to her chest and forced her into his car, where he sexually assaulted her.
Prosecutors say in 2006, a man brandishing a knife approached woman in northwest, forced her behind a building and raped her.
Authorities say DNA recovered from both victims was tied to Burns after he was convicted of an unrelated crime in 2010.
