RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Richmond's popular nesting pair of bald eagles has a new family.

Eagle expert Bryan Watts tells the Richmond Times-Dispatch ( ) that he saw two chicks in Virginia and James' nest on Sunday during an eagle survey.

Virginia and James attracted a huge Internet following last year. Richmond's Eagle Cam logged nearly 1.8 million web page views from more than 100 countries.

The Eagle Cam was a project of the newspaper and the Center for Conservation Biology.

The project won't be continued this year. The eagles left their nest along the James River in the city for a more secluded spot on an island in the river.
