Hagerstown woman, 26, dead after being hit by car

HAGERSTOWN, Md. -- The Maryland State Police says a woman was killed on Sharpsburg Pike in Washington County after being struck by an SUV.
Troopers say the woman died Monday night after walking onto the roadway. Troopers identified the woman as 26-year-old Priyanka Malik of Hagerstown. State Police say Malik was from India and working in the United States.
The accident is under investigation.
