Man struck, killed trying to cross highway

PASADENA, Md. -- Anne Arundel County Police say a homeless man was struck and killed trying to cross Ritchie Highway in Pasadena.
It happened about 7:45 p.m. Monday. Police say 63-year-old Raymond Walkup was hit when he tried to cross the highway near Jumpers Hole Road. Officers say Walkup was not in a crosswalk and was wearing dark clothing.
Walkup was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he died.
The Capital of Annapolis reports (http://bit.ly/XoScYx) that the driver of the car that hit Walkup, 69-year-old Samuel Taylor of Arnold, was not hurt.
