Leesburg woman charged with killing her husband

WASHINGTON – The wife of a man found dead in a Leesburg home Saturday morning has been charged with his murder.

Leesburg police say they have charged Dae Hwang, 57, with first degree murder. She was being held in the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond Saturday evening.

Police were called to the couple’s Chickasaw Place home just after 6 a.m. for a report of a “suspicious event.” When officers arrived, they found Kyung Hwang, 63, dead in an upstairs bedroom, police say.

An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of Kyung Hwang’s death, which remains under investigation.

LEESBURG, Va. (AP) — Police are investigating a suspicious death in Leesburg.

Investigators say a 63-year-old man was found dead in a home on Chickasaw Place early Saturday morning. The man’s 57-year-old wife has been taken into custody and is being interviewed by investigators.

The cause of death is under investigation. Police are investigating the case as a homicide.

Police say the death appears to be an isolated domestic incident and does not pose a threat to the community.
