ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) -- A Maryland man has been sentenced to more than 15 years in prison for prostituting a 15-year-old runaway as often as 25 times a day.
Twenty-nine-year-old Julio Cesar Revolorio Ramos of Adelphi, Md., pleaded guilty to twice using the girl among a rotating roster of prostitutes he marketed to day laborers.
Revolorio Ramos prostituted the teen runaway in 2009 and 2010. He told the girl to charge $30 for 15 minutes of sex. He paid the girl $1,200 for a week's work.
Revolorio Ramos paid part of his proceeds to the MS-13 street gang, which has engaged in sex trafficking.
The sentence of 15 years and eight months imposed Friday was in line with that sought by federal prosecutors in Alexandria.
The defense attorney asked for a 10-year term.
