WASHINGTON – Snow started falling just after 2 p.m. on Friday in the District, coating the city in a light dusting.

Even though no more snow is expected to fall, the temperatures will remain below freezing until Sunday, creating slippery and icy road conditions for local commuters.

ABC7 meteorologist Matt Alto reports that some areas surrounding the Beltway saw upwards of 2 inches in Friday’s afternoon snow.
