U.Va. to hold public forums on strategic planning

Monday - 1/14/2013, 4:05am  ET

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - The University of Virginia is holding public forums on strategic planning this week.

Media outlets report that the first forum will be held Monday by the faculty recruitment, retention and development working group.

Five other forums will be held throughout the week. Topics include streamlining, technology and student life.

A forum aimed specifically at students is scheduled Wednesday.

Senior vice provost Milton Adams says U.Va. officials hope students will provide ideas during the planning process and identify how the student experience can be improved.

Two earlier forums held in December focused on synergy and the role of the public university.
