Adamstown woman dies from injuries in Christmas crash

A 20-year-old

Adamstown

woman died Thursday morning from injuries suffered in a Christmas Day crash in Virginia.

Annalee S. Marshall was pronounced dead at Inova Fairfax Hospital, according to a news release from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office.

Marshall was driving north on U.S. 15 near Black Walnut Lane at about 12:45 p.m. Tuesday in a 1997 Honda Civic when the vehicle ran off the east shoulder, according to the sheriff’s office. Police said she over- corrected and crossed into the southbound lane, striking a 2005 Acura driven by Todd Willman, 55, of Chambersburg, Pa.

Marshall was flown to the hospital, authorities said. Two passengers in the other car were treated for minor injuries. A third passenger, a 23-year-old, was also flown out. He remained hospitalized Thursday, according to the sheriff’s office.

The crash remains under investigation by the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit.
