GLEN BURNIE, Md. - Anne Arundel County police say a store employee fatally shot someone trying to break into his shop in Glen Burnie.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday at a coin shop on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard
Police say an employee told officers that an intruder had tried to break into the store, and that the man was shot during an altercation.
The alleged intruder, identified as 20-year-old Byron Keith Phillip of Chester, died at the scene after running out of the business and collapsing.
Police haven't yet released the employee's name because the investigation is continuing. No charges were immediately announced.
