Dreams of playoff tickets dance in fans’ heads

WASHINGTON – For Redskins fans, dreams of the playoffs — and a ticket to the clinching game — are dancing in their heads.

A season once wallowing in the cellar with a 3-6 record concludes Sunday night against the Cowboys at FedEx Field.

On the line: the title of NFC East Division Champions.

Seeing the prime time game in person, however, is a pricey wish.

Tickets start at $299 on the website StubHub.

That covers a standing room only admission.

Cars sell for less than a good view from the lower level.

Fans looking for a seat have posted on Craigslist, hoping to score a ticket for a modest $200.

The surge in demand follows the Redskins’ six consecutive wins and this week’s opportunity to emphasize the point against the rival Cowboys.

If the Redskins Nation gets to Hail Victory Sunday night, the rush on playoff tickets will likely dwarf the Christmas week excitement.
