Guided hikes will be offered Jan. 1 at Douthat State Park in Millboro, James River State Park in Gladstone, Shenandoah River State Park in Bentonville, and Sky Meadows State Park in Delaplane.
The afternoon hike of less than a mile at Douthat State Park will conclude with a campfire and refreshments. A 2-mile hike at Shenandoah River State Park will include scenic views of the river.
The Sky Meadows tour is 2.5 miles long, while the James River walk is for as short or as long as visitors want.
