Sheriffs charge 5 with Va. nativity scene theft

FOREST, Va. - Five teenagers are facing charges they stole and then destroyed a nativity scene from a church in Bedford County in Southwestern Virginia.
According to media reports, the Bedford County Sheriff's Office said the five were arrested Tuesday after the 12-piece Christmas scene was reported missing over the weekend from Shiloh United Methodist Church in Forest.
The sheriff's office released a photo of the teens that showed them posing with the figures.
The set had an estimated worth of $2,000 to $2,500.
The teenagers face charges of grand larceny, trespass and property damage.
