WASHINGTON (AP) - District of Columbia police are investigating a stabbing near Howard University's campus during homecoming weekend.
WRC-TV ( http://bit.ly/TmzqQS) reports a man was stabbed in the stomach early Saturday morning. He was taken to a hospital and was reported to be conscious and breathing.
Howard spokeswoman Kerry-Ann Hamilton says the incident did not occur at a Howard University event and did not involve anyone affiliated with the school.
The homecoming festivities include a football game against Howard rival Morgan State.
