MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - A bell-ringing ceremony is planned at West Virginia University in remembrance of a student from Virginia who died earlier this month.
The Alpha Phi Omega fraternity will hold the ceremony at 11:45 a.m. Friday at Oglebay Plaza on the downtown campus in Morgantown.
The ceremony will honor 18-year-old Acoye' Breckenridge, a freshman pre-engineering student from Staunton, Va.
Media outlets report Breckenridge and a 39-year-old driver were killed in an Oct. 5 accident involving their vehicle and a tractor-trailer on Interstate 81 near Kernstown, Va.
