Hundreds gather to remember Woodson High School student

WASHINGTON – Hundreds gathered on Tuesday morning to remember a Virginia teenager whose body was found Oct. 8 after he’d been missing for a week.

The memorial service for 17-year-old Bryan Glenn was held at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Annandale, Va.

Glenn, a Woodson High School senior, was reported missing on Oct. 1. He did not attend classes that day and was not seen since. Search teams found his body on a City of Fairfax park trail about a quarter-mile from his car.

Police have not yet indicated a cause of death.

Hundreds of classmates, friends and teachers mourned Glenn on Tuesday, many in uniform — friends of Glenn’s father, who works at the Pentagon.

The reverend who spoke said Glenn had so much promise, yet also had accomplished so much in his life.

Glenn is the third Woodson student to die in the last two years.

He will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
