WASHINGTON - A man was fatally shot Wednesday near Gallaudet University in NE D.C.
D.C. police say the shooting happened in the 1100 block of 8th Street between L Street and Florida Avenue.
ABC7 reports one of its news crew was in the area at the time of the shooting, covering a different story when they heard five to seven shots fired around 4 p.m.
They report the crew saw a male on the ground who appeared to be shot and bleeding.
Police are looking for a suspect described as a black man wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt. He is believed to be riding a black bike.
