DUNDALK, Md. - Baltimore County police say an officer shot and killed a man who tried to take another officer's handgun.
The confrontation occurred early Sunday morning near Merritt Point Park in Dundalk. Police say they were called to the scene to investigate a report of a suspicious person. The two officers tried to question the man when police say he became combative and tried to take the gun from one of the officers.
The other officer drew his gun and fired. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The officers have been placed on routine administrative leave.
