WASHINGTON – Despite the fact we’ve surpassed Labor Day, there’s another spike in gas prices here in the Washington-area and nationwide.
The average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline in the D.C. Metro region jumped three cents in the last week to $3.83, according to AAA Mid-Atlantic’s weekly survey.
Last year at this time, unleaded regular in the D.C. Metro was selling for $3.56 a gallon.
AAA analysts are predicting a decline later in the month as the winter blend of gasoline is introduced.
The national average for a gallon of unleaded regular was at $3.86 this week.
