WASHINGTON - As a part of a new weekly feature, Chef Geoff Tracy, the eponymous founder of four regional restaurants, stopped by the studio on Friday to share his predictions for the outcome of NFL week 1 games with WTOP's Mark Lewis and Debbie Feinstein.

Here's what the celebrity culinary expert see on the gridiron, along with our anchors:

Chef Geoff

Redskins: 21
Saints: 35
"This would not be the game you'd want to open up the season for RGIII"

Ravens: 17
Bengals: 3
"It's going to be a low-scoring game, as it always is against the Ravens"

Packers: 38
49ers: 27
"These are two very good teams, it's going to be an awesome game to watch."

Debbie

Disclaimer: I know nothing about the NFL other than the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens are local teams.

That said, here are my picks:

Redskins 14, Saints 34

I'm picking New Orleans because the food ROCKS!

Ravens lose to Bengals just to be contrary, 13 to 21

Green Bay beats San Fran 24-17. I love drinking wine in San Francisco, but Charles Woodson makes a mean Cabernet Sauvignon too. I'm torn, but have to go with the home team.

Mark

Redskins/Saints: It pains me to say this, but I'm picking the Saints. 31-20. The Saints are a veteran team with a chip on their shoulder after the "bounty-gate" suspensions. And, they are playing at home. With big changes for the Skins in the secondary and questions AGAIN along the offensive line, I'm uncertain if the Burgundy & Gold have enough in game No. 1. Ugh.

Ravens/Bengals: Cincy is eager for a win in Baltimore after dropping 3 straight. But the Ravens win at home.

49ers/Packers: This should be a good one. 49ers should be strong on defense again and they've upgraded on offense. And even though I still have questions about the Green Bay defense, I gotta go with the Packers at Lambeau. I think Packers win in a close one…20-17.
