Tuesday - 9/4/2012, 9:28am  ET

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - The Wildlife Center of Virginia has released a peregrine falcon again following a second rescue.

The falcon was discovered on the balcony of an Oceanfront hotel in Virginia Beach on Aug. 6. It was unable to fly after a severe storm.

Dave McRuer with the wildlife center tells The Virginian-Pilot that he treated the falcon in January after it was found in Virginia Beach with an open wing fracture.

The falcon was first released in Hampton on June 6. Then it returned to Virginia Beach. On Monday, the falcon was released again at First Landing State Park.
