ARLINGTON, Va. - Travelers at Washington's Reagan National Airport are finding a new automated parking system with more choices to pay for parking.
The airport announced Friday that it now offers automated prepayment machines for parking as travelers leave the airport terminal. That can help speed cars out of the parking lots, rather than wait for a staffed ticket booth.
The airport also is offering ticketless parking transactions, which could help travelers who may have lost their parking tickets in the past.
Under the new system, travelers can insert their credit cards at the gate when they enter a parking garage. The system records the time of the driver's entry. Then when they leave the airport they can insert the same credit card when leaving to pay for their parking.
