BALTIMORE - Loyola of Maryland has accepted an invitation to join the Patriot League at the start of the 2013-14 academic year.
With the addition of Loyola, the league increases to 10 full members, including recent addition Boston University.
The school and league made the announcement Wednesday.
Most of Loyola's sports teams are competing in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
The other schools in the league are American University, Bucknell, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lafayette, Lehigh, Army and Navy. Fordham and Georgetown are associate members in football.
