Jerry Jones’ rapping redux

WASHINGTON – Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, debuted his rapping skills this week in a new TV ad for pizza chain Papa John’s.

The ad is a reprise of an older popular ad for the chain that featured Jones break dancing.

“Jerry’s break dancing act in an earlier Papa John’s TV spot was was a big hit, and we think it’s time to show off some of his other talent,” Bob Paine, regional marketing director for Papa John’s International, said in a statement.

The ad entitled “Hip Hop Jerry” was released Saturday amid the NFL pre-season. The ad promotes the chain’s new Cowboys 5-Star combo and will air in Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin and Waco media markets through the Super Bowl in February.
