VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Federal labor officials say a Virginia Beach window company has agreed to pay 45 workers more than $83,000 in back wages.
The Virginian-Pilot ( http://bit.ly/O5hXqk) reports the payments are to settle violations of overtime and record-keeping laws.
The U.S. Labor Department says Sea-Thru Windows didn't pay employees overtime despite requiring them to perform tasks such as cleaning and detailing vehicles before or after their scheduled shifts. In addition, the company failed to record the extra hours the workers put in.
