Md. delegate among those hurt in Magothy River boat collision

WASHINGTON – Md. delegate Don Dwyer was among those hurt in a boat collision in Anne Arundel County Wednesday night.

Louisa Baucom, spokeswoman for Dwyer, says he was not seriously injured.

Fire officials say nine were injured, including children. The victims range in age from 5-years-old to 54 years of age. Anne Arundel County Fire says the 5-year-old has potentially life-threatening injuries.

The boats collided in the Magothy River in the Chesapeake Bay in Pasadena.

The accident was reported about 7 p.m.

Lt. Keith Hamilton of the Anne Arundel County fire department says those injured were transported to hospitals around the area.
