HANOVER, Va. (AP) - A 13-year search for a Hanover County malicious wounding suspect is over.
Hanover sheriff's spokesman Chris Whitley says 39-year-old Jerry Otis Robinson was arrested without incident Wednesday in Louisa County. He's being held without bond pending an Oct. 4 preliminary hearing.
Robinson was wanted in the Jan. 29, 1999, shooting of a woman in Mechanicsville. The victim survived.
The sheriff's office continued to search for Robinson through the years. The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports ( http://bit.ly/OBGCGk) that Robinson's case was featured on the America's Most Wanted television series and its website three times.
An anonymous tip led authorities to Robinson.
