WASHINGTON - WTOP's Pain in the Gas Survey shows the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline is up 4 cents from last week to $3.82 a gallon.
Midgrade gas has gone up the most -- 10 cents -- to $3.97 a gallon.
Premium is up by 1 cent to $4.09 and diesel is up 7 cents to $4.02 a gallon.
Regular fuel is cheapest again in Virginia, at $3.69 a gallon, followed by Maryland where it's $3.73. It's most expensive in D.C. where gas is up 7 cents to $4.04 a gallon.
Last year, WTOP found the average price for a gallon of gasoline to be $3.71 across the region. It was cheapest in Maryland at $3.63. Virginia came in at $3.65 a gallon, and in the District gas was $3.84.
