VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - A former Norfolk police officer has been ordered to serve 100 hours of community service on two felony drug charges.
A Virginia Beach circuit judge on Tuesday sentenced 38-year-old Kristin Wayne Harris for his November guilty plea to selling steroids, syringes and marijuana to an undercover Virginia Beach detective.
Harris was sentenced to two years in jail with all of it suspended except for time already served. The Virginian-Pilot ( http://bit.ly/Pay7k8) reports the sentence stipulates that Harris must remain on good behavior for four years.
Harris was a member of the police department for 11 years. He resigned shortly after his arrest last year.
