FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Four historic properties in Fredericksburg are changing owners.
The Mary Washington House, Rising Sun Tavern, Hugh Mercer Apothecary and St. James' House are all linked to President George Washington and his family.
Preservation Virginia will give ownership of the sites to the Washington Heritage Musuems. The new local nonprofit group will maintain the properties.
The Free Lance-Star ( http://bit.ly/Rdr3kf) says representatives of the groups signed a memorandum of understanding Wednesday.
