HAMPTON, Va. - A veteran Hampton police officer remains on leave as an investigation of misconduct allegations continues.
Police spokesman Cpl. Jason Price tells The Daily Press ( http://bit.ly/Qylore) that Major Kenneth R. Seals and two other officers were placed on administrative leave with pay on Feb. 23.
Lt. James R. Crotts retired April 1 and Cpl. Christopher Lyon was returned to "full duty status" on July 23.
Price would not provide details of the investigation because it's a personnel matter.
The Virginia State Police is conducting the investigation. Spokeswoman Michelle Anaya says the findings will be given to the prosecutor's office.
