Police seek man in robbery of Waldorf bank

WALDORF, Md. (AP) - The Charles County Sheriff's Department is searching for a man who robbed a bank in Waldorf over the weekend.
Authorities say the man walked into a Capitol One Bank branch on Waldorf Market Place about 12:40 p.m. Saturday. The man approached a teller, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. Authorities say the man fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
The man is described as between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a white polo shirt with green stripes, a white baseball cap and clear safety glasses.
Charles County Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
