WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Two rides at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg are up and running again.
Officials for the theme park say the popular drop-tower ride called Mach Tower reopened on Thursday afternoon after being out of service since July 12.
The Daily Press reports ( http://bit.ly/O3EBA8) that the ride was closed while park officials reviewed manufacturer recommended changes to the ride. Park spokesman Kevin Crossett told the newspaper that "everything checked out fine."
Mach Tower is a 240-feet-tall ride where riders are lifted into the air on vibrating seats and then dropped back to ground level. It opened in late August 2011 after weeks of delays.
Another ride called Escape from Pompeii reopened on Wednesday evening after it was closed Tuesday due to a "minor mechanical issue."
