Metro says system-stalling glitch fixed

Wednesday - 7/18/2012, 11:46am  ET

WASHINGTON - Metro says it has fixed a computer glitch that caused some trains to freeze in place over the weekend.

The transit agency says a faulty computer module -- part of a mapping program that displays where trains are on the system -- crashed.

The equipment has now been fixed and Metro says the system is working properly again.
