Man sentenced to 35 years in apartment shooting

WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) - A Columbia man convicted of attempted murder in the shooting of a man in Westminster has been sentenced to 35 years in prison.
The Carroll County Times ( http://bit.ly/Qzyyp9) reports that 21-year-old Montrell Schumpert was sentenced Thursday for shooting Tony Boyd Jr., in the abdomen during an argument in May 2011.
Schumpert was convicted in July.
