WASHINGTON – The nation’s capital is a diner’s paradise for gourmet foodies, carnivores, seafood enthusiasts and artistic pancake lovers alike.

TripAdvisor, a free online research and travel guide for tourists, has compiled a list of Top 25 restaurants in D.C. that includes French-Belgian fine dining at Marcel’s and Greek restaurants like Komi and Zaytinya. The winners were awarded “by millions of real travelers,” according to the website.

French and Belgian restaurant Marcel’s claims the list’s number one spot. Located at 2401 Pennsylvania Avenue, it has been acclaimed for its gourmet cuisine by the Washington Post and Zagat. The fine dining establishment is run by chef Robert Wiedmaier, who is known for his attention to detail and whole animal butchery.

At Michel Richard Citronelle, chef Michel Richard’s realm of fine dining, French cuisine fuses with American food.
