CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - University of Virginia Police say someone spray- painted the word "greed' on the columns of the school's Rotunda.
Lt. Melissa Fielding says the incident occurred between 2:40 and 3:30 Monday morning. She says it's hard to say whether the incident is related to the turmoil over the ouster of university president Teresa Sullivan because police don't have a suspect yet.
Fielding says five columns across the front of the Rotunda each had one letter of the word "greed" painted on them. The vandalism was discovered by a security officer.
Fielding says anyone with information about the incident is urged to call campus police at 434-924-7166.
