RICHMOND, Va. - Virginia Commonwealth University is sponsoring a conference to promote professional development in academic fields for women of different races and ethnic backgrounds.
VCU's Office of the Provost plans to host the Women of Color Conference on Friday in Richmond. The American Council of Education's Virginia Network Conference is presenting the event, which will offer a platform for discussions about ethnic diversity, gender and higher education. It's the fourth year that such a conference has taken place.
The daylong event will include a roundtable discussion with female college presidents and several workshops.
