RICHMOND, Va. - Virginia's veterans are getting new IDs to help them take advantage of special discount programs.
Gov. Bob McDonnell will launch a new Virginia Veterans ID Card on Wednesday during an event at the McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Richmond.
McDonnell's administration created the new identification card to serve as proof of veteran status. It can be used to obtain discounts at stores, state parks and other businesses.
The DMV 2 Go mobile customer service center will be available to process applications for the new cards.
