WASHIINGTON - Authorities say a man has been shot and killed by a police officer in southeast Washington.
Police spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump says the fatal shooting occurred in the 4200 block of 6th Street about 10:45 p.m. Monday.
Police say the man was apparently shot during an exchange of gunfire with an officer looking for a suspect in a shooting in the same neighborhood.
Authorities say one of the officers involved in the shooting was taken to a hospital with a minor graze injury.
Police are still investigating the incident.
