BALTIMORE (AP) - Gov. Martin O'Malley is scheduled participate in a campaign to put salad bars in public schools.
O'Malley, other elected officials and representatives from HBO and Whole Foods Market's Whole Kids Foundation, will help launch the "Let's Move Salad Bars to School" program Tuesday at Calvin Rodwell Elementary.
The program aims to improve children's access to fruits and vegetables by offering 100 salad bar grants to schools in 12 American cities.
Officials will also screen the HBO documentary "The Weight of the Nation for Kids: The Great Cafeteria Takeover."
Students at Calvin Rodwell will be among the Baltimore schools that receive salad bars from the program.
