Hip Canadian shoe designer John Fluevog will be bringing his footwear to Georgetown.
The retailer has signed a lease for a little more than 2,000 square feet at 1265 Wisconsin Ave. NW. Cushman & Wakefield Inc. brokers Dave Dochter and Caitlin Slowinski worked on the deal.
An opening date is not yet set for the store. John Fluevog has 14 stores in the U.S. and Canada.
To get a sense of the retailer's sensibility, check out its goofy website, which answers such questions as "Are John Fluevog Angels really Satan resistant?" They are, duh.
Georgetown has been on a retail roll lately, with such new leases as flooring company Flor, the Nike store in the former Barnes & Noble space, and furnishing company Jonathan Adler.
