ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot will offer his thoughts on the recent tax filing season as he gathers with staff to open thousands of returns.
Franchot is scheduled to join 300 members of his agency's staff to open 2011 tax returns Saturday morning.
He will also use the time to talk about his impressions of Maryland's returns.
Last year comptroller's office employees opened 71,000 tax returns on the Saturday following the tax deadline.
